Donglin Coastal Park Introduction
Donglin Coastal Park features a golden sandy beach at its front, which used to be dotted with landmines and barbed wire fortifications like many other beaches in Kinmen. However, as cross-strait tensions have eased, these military defenses have been dismantled. The pristine golden beach at the southeastern coast of the Donglin settlement is now a great spot for visitors to enjoy the sea and surf, free from pollution, making it a major attraction in Little Kinmen. Donglin Coastal Park covers an area of 3 hectares and is located not far from Victory Gate by the seaside. The golden beach shines brilliantly under the sun, and the park is equipped with a sculpture plaza featuring many lifelike animal statues, such as dolphins, horseshoe crabs, and herons, which are very popular among children. There are also forest activity areas and observation decks where visitors can enjoy the view, listen to the sound of the waves, and appreciate the beautiful scenery of blue seas, skies, and golden sands. On holidays, one can often see groups of friends gathering to enjoy water activities and barbecues, making it a perfect place for family fun.
