Lieyu Township Cultural Center Introduction
Lieyu Township Cultural Center, located at the former site of the Lieyu Township Office, has been transformed into a cultural exhibition hall since its renovation in 2006. The interior showcases many precious local cultural assets, managed and explained by dedicated staff. Covering an area of over 300 pings, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center is an important location for preserving the cultural heritage of the Lieyu area. The collection includes a wide range of items, from everyday goods and clothing used by residents to agricultural tools, furnishings from ancient houses, and military-related artifacts, allowing visiting tourists to understand the local customs and practices through the displayed items. The first floor features a permanent exhibition space, activity center, and audiovisual room, displaying various tools used in the daily lives and farming of Lieyu residents, as well as military and civil defense facilities. The second floor serves as both permanent and special exhibition spaces, frequently hosting exhibitions of works by artists from Taiwan or Kinmen, as well as a research room and a collection room for cultural artifacts, making it the best place in the Lieyu area to appreciate cultural performances. Through the displayed items, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center enables visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural development of Lieyu Township.
