Lieyu Township Cultural Center Introduction
The Lieyu Township Cultural Center is located in the former site of the Lieyu Township Office. Since its renovation in 2006 into a cultural exhibition hall, it displays many precious cultural assets of the area, managed and interpreted by dedicated personnel. Covering an area of over 300 square meters, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center is an important site for preserving cultural heritage in the Lieyu region. Its collection includes a wide array of items, from the daily necessities and clothing of local residents to agricultural tools, traditional house furnishings, and military-related objects, allowing visitors to understand the customs and lifestyle of Lieyu through the exhibits. The first floor of the center features permanent exhibition space, an activity center, and an audio-visual room, showcasing various tools used in the daily lives and farming of Lieyu residents, as well as military and civil defense facilities. The second floor is dedicated to permanent and special exhibitions, hosting works from Taiwanese and Kinmen artists, alongside a research room and a cultural relics storage room, making it the best place in Lieyu for appreciating cultural and artistic events. Through its exhibits, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of the cultural development of Lieyu Township.
