Lieyu Township Cultural Center Introduction
Liyu Township Cultural Center is located at the former site of the Liyu Township Office. After being renovated and transformed into a cultural exhibition center in 2006, it displays many precious local cultural assets. The center is managed by dedicated personnel who provide explanations. Covering an area of over 300 ping, the Liyu Township Cultural Center is an important venue for preserving cultural heritage in the Liyu area. The collection includes a wide variety of items, from daily necessities and clothing of the residents, farming tools, ancient house furnishings to military-related objects, allowing visitors to understand the customs and traditions of Liyu through the displayed items. The first floor features permanent exhibition spaces, an activity center, and an audiovisual room showcasing the various tools used in the lives and farming of Liyu residents, as well as military and civil defense facilities. The second floor provides spaces for both permanent and special exhibitions, frequently hosting artwork displays from Taiwanese or Kinmen artists, along with a cultural research room and a collection room, making it the best venue for appreciating artistic and cultural events in the Liyu area. The Liyu Township Cultural Center helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of the cultural development of Liyu through its exhibitions.
