Lieyu Township Cultural Center Introduction
Lieyu Township Cultural Center, formerly the old site of the Lieyu Township Office, was transformed into a cultural exhibition hall in 2006. Inside, it displays many precious local cultural assets, managed and explained by dedicated staff. Covering over 300 ping, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center is an important site for preserving cultural assets in the Lieyu area. The collection includes a wide range of items, such as everyday necessities, clothing, farming tools, furnishings from historic homes, and military-related objects, allowing visitors to understand the local customs and practices. The first floor features permanent exhibition spaces, an activity center, and an audiovisual room, showcasing various tools used in the daily lives and farming of Lieyu residents as well as civil defense military facilities. The second floor consists of permanent and special exhibition spaces, frequently hosting exhibitions of works by artists from Taiwan or Kinmen. It also includes a research room and a collection room, making it the best venue in the Lieyu area for enjoying cultural events. Through its exhibits, the Lieyu Township Cultural Center helps travelers learn more about the cultural development of Lieyu Township.
