Houlin Rifle Simulation Shooting Range Introduction
The Houlin Rifle Simulation Shooting Gallery is located in the Houlin Military Camp in the Hou Tou Village of Lieyu Township, seamlessly connected to the main roads of Lieyu, providing convenient transportation. The military camp was originally a logistical supply battalion for the armed forces, and later it also housed a medical station. Within the camp, there are various warehouses; upon entering the camp gate, you will see signs indicating the previous important operations including maintenance, transportation, medical care, ammunition, water collection stations, and waste collection stations. In 2014, with the military downsizing, the camp was transferred to the Kinmen County Government for management. The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology was commissioned to develop and acquire relevant rifle simulation shooting equipment, which was inaugurated at the end of January 2018, opening to the public for an immersive experience. It is the first rifle simulation shooting gallery in the nation. When visiting Lieyu, don't forget to experience the simulation shooting, wearing camouflage and carrying a rifle, you can transform into a military officer defending your homeland in a simulated animated scenario. After completing the activity, you will also receive a special certificate as a memorable keepsake! Important Notes for the Simulation Rifle Experience: - Prior reservation by phone is required, with the schedule as shown in the table below: - A cleaning fee of NT$50 will be charged for the experience. The experience is limited to individuals aged 12 and above.
