Houlin Rifle Shooting Simulation Center Introduction
The Houlin Rifle Simulation Shooting Range is located in the Houlin Camp of Houtou Village, Lieyu Township, connecting to the main roads of Lieyu, making transportation very convenient. The camp was originally a military logistics supply base, later accommodating a medical station. Inside the camp, there are various warehouses, and upon entering the camp, you will see wall signs indicating maintenance, transportation, medical duties, ammunition, water collection stations, and waste collection stations, showcasing the camp's significant past operations. In 2014, the military was downsized and the camp was transferred to the Kinmen County Government for use. The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology was commissioned to develop and procure related rifle simulation shooting equipment, which was officially opened at the end of January 2018. This is the first rifle simulation shooting range in the country where visitors can experience shooting firsthand. When you visit Lieyu, don’t forget to try out the simulation shooting experience, dress in camouflage, and hold a rifle as you play the role of a military officer defending your homeland in a simulated animated setting. After the activity, participants can also receive a special certificate, adding great commemorative value! Important notes for the simulation rifle experience: - Reservations must be made by phone in advance, as per the schedule below: - A cleaning fee of NT$50 is charged for the experience. Participation is limited to individuals aged 12 and above.
