Jiangjun Fort Introduction
During the 823 Artillery Battle, Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo was escorted under heavy fire by Generals Wang Sheng and Ke Yuan-fen to the front lines to discuss the situation with the defending brigadier general, which ultimately contributed to future victory. To commemorate the soldiers who defended day and night in such a challenging environment without fear of danger, it was named Jiangjun Fort. Jiangjun Fort was one of the defensive positions during the war, located behind the Little Kinmen, tasked primarily with monitoring the "Jinlie Waterway" between the Big and Little Kinmen. The fort has 24 machine gun and rifle firing ports, and as the conflict subsided, there are currently no stationed troops. After being taken over by the Kinmen National Park Administration, Jiangjun Fort was transformed into a small military museum, allowing visitors to step into the frontlines of the war and experience the tense atmosphere in which soldiers defended and prepared for battle in this confined space.
