Father Louis L. B. Laubun Memorial Park Introduction
Father Lo Bao-tian arrived in Kinmen in 1954 due to the impact of war and settled there. He participated in the relief efforts during the shelling and dedicated his life to improving the medical conditions in the under-equipped Kinmen. The Father Lo Memorial Park, located by the shore of Tai Lake in Jinhua Township, is situated where the "Catholic Church" once stood, where Father Lo treated the local people. After the priest's passing, the church fell into disrepair due to neglect. To honor Father Lo's contributions to Kinmen, a small Roman arch square has been established at the site, creating the atmosphere of a quaint European town. The pure white color spreads across the church walls, and a white gravel pathway leads to the entrance. Although currently only the front view of the church conveys its significance, it does not diminish Kinmen's reverence for Father Lo.
