Fuyuan Tea Factory Introduction
Fuyuan Tea Factory has a history of over 90 years. During the Japanese colonial period, the founder began purchasing tea leaves from tea farmers and sold them to a refinement factory in Dadaocheng for processing, and then shipped them to various parts of the world through foreign trading houses or Japanese trading companies. In 1949, the founder established a factory that transitioned from small-scale production to mass production, and it continues to operate to this day, witnessing the rise and fall of Taiwan's tea industry. "Tea" is deeply rooted in the spirit of the Taiwanese people, and as we reflect on the years of southern sugar and northern tea, it prompts us to consider the importance of taking time to care for local culture and nurture our inner selves. At Fuyuan, you can learn about Taiwanese tea on a journey through tea country, which includes "Ruby" black tea made from TTES 18, Oriental Beauty tea made following traditional methods, and calamondin tea, along with unique CTC (cut-tear-curl) black tea that you won't find elsewhere. Take the opportunity to explore the local culture, learn about the tea production process, and understand the spirit of Fuyuan Tea Factory as it perseveres in the face of changing times and adversity. If you visit during the production season, you will witness the tea-leaf production process and gain a deeper understanding of tea.
