Fuyuan Tea Factory Introduction
Fuyuan Tea Factory has a history of over 90 years. As early as the Japanese colonial period, the founder began purchasing tea leaves from local farmers, selling them to the refining factory in Dadaocheng for processing, and then distributing them worldwide through foreign firms and Japanese trading houses. The founder established the factory in 1949, transforming small-scale production into mass production, and it continues to operate today, witnessing the rise and fall of Taiwan's tea industry. "Tea" deeply cultivates the spirit of the Taiwanese, and as we traverse the years of southern sugar and northern tea, it prompts us to take time to care for local culture and cultivate our inner spirit. At Fuyuan, you can learn about Taiwanese tea and embark on a tour of tea country, which includes "Ruby" black tea made from Taiwanese Tea No. 18, Eastern Beauty tea produced using traditional methods, and calamondin tea, as well as the unique crush-tear-curl (CTC) black tea that you won't find elsewhere. Take the time to explore local culture, understand the tea production process, and recognize Fuyuan Tea Factory's spirit of persevering and remaining undaunted amid changing times. If you happen to visit during the production season, you will witness the tea-making process and gain a deeper understanding of tea.
