It's hard to imagine that this used to be the Longtan Old First Market food street, which had been abandoned for 14 years! In 2016, several young locals from the 1980s and 1990s aimed to promote Longtan's local culture by organizing the "Yingqing Market," which combined creative stalls and artistic performances, sparking significant discussions and leading to the establishment of the Innovation Base. In 2017, the Innovation Base was located at the previously bustling area of the Longtan Old First Market, named after Longtan's old name - Lingtan, gathering 20 local creative brands and injecting unprecedented creative energy into Longtan. Currently, the number of shops has approached 50, offering a diverse range of products including art studios, dried flowers, local farm products, picture book storyhouses, desserts, and light meals, making cultural creativity an integral part of a more beautiful life rather than just abstract design. In the short span of a few hundred meters, Lingtan Street uniquely combines the old and new; you can enjoy flavors like salty fish and egg cake, and apple salmon gua bao, familiar yet surprising to the palate.
