Chuan Jia Life Small Restaurant Introduction

Chuan Jia is located on Guangfu Road in Hsinchu, near the Palais de Chine Hotel. It has been in operation for over a decade, always adhering to the warm feeling of dining at home for customers, embodying the traditional Hakka spirit of hospitality. The Hakka free-range chicken, carefully selected from local hillside farms and raised for six months on corn and wild vegetables, has a fresh and chewy texture with no feed taste, best enjoyed with a bit of Hakka kumquat sauce. The braised pork belly, made with premium pork belly, is boiled in hot water for 30 minutes, cooled slightly, soaked in soy sauce for color, then deep-fried, and cooled in ice water to remove excess fat and enhance its chewiness. It is served with pickled mustard greens for a refreshing and non-greasy taste. The shredded ginger pig intestines are made from black hairy pig intestines, which should be clean and shiny. The intestines are pre-washed with flour, vinegar, and salad oil, leaving some fat for flavor; too much fat can be greasy, while too little may lack aroma.
