Egret's Home Introduction

The "egret," commonly referred to as "white crane" by Hakka people, has vast clusters of lush mixed forests in the Ailan and Lancheng areas of this town, which is renowned for having Taiwan's largest egret bird paradise. Flocks of egrets occasionally soar through the sky, creating a spectacular sight as they hunt for small fish, insects, and grains. A group of migratory birds heads south to escape the cold in autumn and returns north in spring to roost and breed, with numbers reaching as high as 60,000 to 70,000, forming an incredible phenomenon. This is also a significant characteristic of the egrets' home. We sincerely urge birdwatchers who come here to observe, cherish, and not disturb them!
