Maple Giant Tree Group Park Introduction
The Fongxiang Giant Tree Group is located in the Fongxiang Community of Wugongli, Puli Township. It is estimated to be around 400 years old. The community has established a small park here, allowing local residents to gather and chat. The Fongxiang tree, a deciduous large tree, is a native species of Taiwan. Originally, the Giant Tree Group in the Fongxiang Community consisted of twenty-two trees, each standing over three stories tall. In recent years, a few of the giant trees have died, making the remaining ones even more precious and highlighting the importance of local conservation efforts. The county government has designated them for protection, and with only 13 trees left from the original 22, they are even more deserving of care and appreciation.
