Guilinggao is a health food traditionally used by the nobility in the Qing Dynasty of China and is typically enjoyed as a dessert after meals. To allow Taiwanese people to easily taste the most authentic Guilinggao, many years ago, the young owner, Mr. Shi Yixian, traveled to mainland China to learn the traditional manufacturing techniques of Guilinggao from a master craftsman in his eighties, Jian Youxin, and went through thirty to forty failed attempts in the process.
