Zhenhai Park Introduction
Zhenhai Park, located next to Zhenhai Temple in Donggang Township, is a park that combines forests, grasslands, beaches, and the ocean. Initially, during the early years of Zhenhai Temple's establishment (around 1987), Zhenhai Park was just a barren beach where no visitors would stay under the blazing sun. After more than a decade, a group of volunteers from Zhenhai Temple invested time and effort, and through their silent hard work, the park today boasts lush foliage. In addition, with government funding in 1995, Zhenhai Park was officially established! Due to its location, Zhenhai Park is home to the Wangchuan (King Boat) Festival of Donggang, which has a history of over a hundred years. During the lunar months of September in the years of the Ox, Dragon, Sheep, and Dog, the Donggang Donglong Temple holds the "Water Invitation and King Sending" ceremonies, known as the Wangchuan Festival, every three years.
