Zhenhai Park Introduction
Located next to the Zhenhai Temple in Donggang Township, Zhenhai Park is a park that combines forests, grasslands, beaches, and the ocean. Zhenhai Park was originally a barren beach when the Zhenhai Temple was founded in the early years (around the 76th year of the Republic of China). On sunny days, no visitors would wish to stay. After more than a decade of hard work and investment by a group of Zhenhai Temple volunteers, the park has transformed into a lush green space. With government funding in the 84th year of the Republic of China, Zhenhai Park was officially established! The park is located in the hometown of the king boats for the Donggang Wang Boat Festival, which has a history of over a hundred years. Every year during the lunar months of September in the years of the Ox, Dragon, Sheep, and Dog, the Donggang Donglong Temple holds a peace worship ceremony (commonly known as the King Festival or Wang Boat Festival) that takes place every three years at this location for the major Taoist rituals of "inviting water and sending the king."
