Donggang Fishing Port Fishery Products Direct Sales Center (Former Overseas Chinese Market) Introduction

The old Overseas Chinese Market was rebuilt due to its age and was inaugurated in May 2012, renamed as the "Donggang Fishing Port Seafood Direct Sales Center." It showcases a more modern and locally characteristic tourist and leisure fish market, aiming to promote the upgrade of the local fishing industry and boost local tourism resources. The new direct sales center covers nearly 1,500 ping (approximately 5,000 square meters) and features over 400 stalls, offering a wide variety of fresh seafood. It not only has the scale of a seafood department store but also retains the charm of a traditional market, making it the largest seafood retail market in Pingtung County. Currently, there are areas for fresh fish, raw/cooked food, specialty fishing products, and food stalls. The rooftop has an observation platform for enjoying the sea view and sea breeze. There is also a large parking lot nearby for easy parking.
