One Grain Studio Introduction
I have a dream to freely pursue my ideals. I have a wish to possess endless wisdom and creativity, creating my own space. I have a commitment to fulfill the responsibility and work of passing on my culture. I am a traditional Amis woman with a kind heart, always eager to help others. At some point, I developed an inexplicable interest in traditional weaving that I could not resist. Weaving is an important cultural symbol in Amis traditional life; it is synonymous with the beauty of the Amis people and represents the wisdom handed down by our ancestors. Passing on this culture is a heavy task and a responsibility; it is a promise to our ancestors and a reminder to future generations. Only through continuous transmission can we achieve quality works. From traditional weaving to the crafting of the fragrant bamboo leaves, I have discovered the inherent beauty and realized how breathtaking the wisdom of the Amis is. As a practitioner of traditional crafts, my attitude determines everything. I will continue to showcase and promote Amis culture. While the Amis society is matrilineal, it remains a very rigorous society where ethics, harmony, and the preservation of tradition are crucial to maintaining the essence of Amis culture.
