One Grain Studio Introduction
I have a dream to freely pursue my ideals. I have a wish to possess unlimited wisdom and creativity to create my own space. I have a commitment to play a role in the responsibility and work of passing down my culture. I am a traditional Amis woman with a kind heart, always eager to help others. At one point, I developed an inexplicable interest in traditional weaving that I could not resist. Weaving is an important cultural symbol in Amis traditional life; it is a beautiful synonym of the Amis people, representing the wisdom passed down from our ancestors. Inheritance is a heavy task and a responsibility; it is a promise to our ancestors and a reminder to future generations. Only through continuous transmission can we achieve quality works. From traditional weaving to the weaving of the pandanus, I have discovered beauty and realized that Amis wisdom is truly breathtaking. As a bearer of traditional craftsmanship, my attitude determines everything. I will continue to develop and promote Amis culture. Although the Amis have a matrilineal social structure, it remains a very rigorous society. Ethics, harmony, and the maintenance of tradition are important aspects that sustain Amis culture.
