One Grain Studio Introduction
I have a dream of being able to pursue my ideals freely and without restraint. I have a wish for endless wisdom and creativity to create my own space. I have a commitment to play a role in the inheritance of my culture. As a traditional Amis woman with a kind heart, I am always eager to help others. There was a time when I developed an inexplicable interest in traditional weaving that I could not resist. Weaving is an important cultural symbol in the traditional life of the Amis; it is synonymous with the beauty of the Amis people and represents the wisdom passed down by our ancestors. Inheritance is a heavy responsibility and a commitment to our ancestors, as well as a reminder to future generations. Only through continuous inheritance can we create quality works. From traditional weaving to the weaving of the pandanus, I discovered the beauty within and realized how breathtaking the wisdom of the Amis people truly is. As someone who carries on this craft, my attitude determines everything. I will continue to thrive and promote the culture of the Amis. Although the Amis society is matriarchal, it remains a very rigorous society where ethics, harmony, and the maintenance of tradition are essential to the essence of Amis culture.
