A-Shui Workshop x Creative East Sugar 191, established in 2013, integrates local creative resources and energies from Taitung, emerging as a unique cultural platform that voices local artists and fosters handmade experience courses to enhance public participation. This complex operation of product exhibitions and cultural spaces injects new vitality into Taitung's creative industry. Through A-Shui Workshop x Creative East Sugar 191, the aim is to create a space for Taitung artists to freely create and exchange, realizing the localized manifestation of art and culture. A-Shui (Chen Zheng-Rui) focuses on indigenous spirit in his creations, expressed through wood carving, metal sculpture, installation art, and commercial space transformation. In 2013, the A-Shui Workshop team launched the “Simple Life: Rediscovering the Handfeel” series, creating rustic and eco-friendly works by combining driftwood with local elements, utilizing the indigenous way of thinking. This approach creatively uses materials bestowed by nature, adding whimsy and creativity to life in Taitung! Living in tune with the seasons reflects a new attitude for modern individuals to rethink life and existence, also resonating with a long-standing desire to return to nature and embrace the land. Following the footsteps of summer, A-Shui Workshop invites you to closely experience the local life of Taitung; step onto the land of Taitung and savor a leisurely journey of slow food prepared by humanity and the seasons!
