A-Shui Workshop Introduction
A-Shui Workshop x Creative Culture Dongtang 191 integrates local creative resources and energy in Taitung since 2013, emerging as a platform for local artists and creators, developing hands-on experience courses to increase public participation, and operating a mixed-use space for product exhibition and cultural activities, injecting new energy into Taitung's creative industry. Through A-Shui Workshop x Creative Culture Dongtang 191, the aim is to create a space for Taitung artists' free creation and exchange, realizing the local implementation of arts and culture. A-Shui (Chen Zheng-Rui) focuses on indigenous spirit in his creations, expressed through wood carving, iron sculpture, installation art, and commercial space transformation. In 2013, the A-Shui Workshop team launched the "Simple Life, Reclaiming Tactility" series of products, combining driftwood with local elements, creating rustic and environmentally friendly works through the indigenous way of thinking, making the best use of materials provided by nature, adding ingenuity and creativity to life in Taitung! By following the seasons and local customs, modern individuals are presented with a new attitude to rethink life and existence, reflecting a long-standing desire to return to nature and embrace the land.
