A-Shui Workshop x Cultural Creative Dongtang 191, established in 2013, integrates local creative resources and energies in Taitung, emerging as a cultural creative platform that amplifies the voices of local artists and develops hands-on experience courses to increase public participation. It operates as a multifunctional space combining product exhibitions and cultural activities, infusing a new force into Taitung's cultural and creative industry. Through A-Shui Workshop x Cultural Creative Dongtang 191, it aims to create a space for Taitung artists to freely create and exchange, realizing the local embodiment of artistic culture. A-Shui (Chen Cheng-Jui)'s creations are centered around indigenous spirits, expressed through wood carving, iron sculpture, installation art, and commercial space transformation. In 2013, the A-Shui Workshop team launched the "Simple Life: Reclaiming the Tactile" series of products, combining driftwood with local elements to create simple and eco-friendly works based on indigenous thinking. By making good use of materials gifted by nature, it adds ingenuity and creativity to life in Taitung! Living in harmony with the local climate and seasons represents a new attitude for modern people to rethink life and existence, reflecting a long-standing desire to return to nature and embrace the land.
