Beidou Meatballs Introduction
At the intersection of Baoping Road and Yongzheng Road in Yonghe, "Beidou Meatballs" offers a chance for me to take it to Shanghai and make it famous. There's a saying: "Opportunities are reserved for those who are prepared." Mr. Yang and his brother have moved from their hometown to New Taipei City for over 20 years, maintaining a low profile and rarely accepting media interviews. However, their meatball shop consistently has long queues. Boss Yang prepares the meatballs—Lin Shuhao's favorite—with a traditional method and an attitude akin to taking care of kindergarten children, patiently flipping them without getting angry, frying them until crispy. The large meatballs, with a diameter that could rival the frying pot, seem to shout, "Come and eat me! Come and eat me!" Two gentle and humble aunts present the meatballs to you, exemplifying an attitude that truly elevates the dining experience in street food.
