Bazi 23 Memorial Park (Zhonghe Park) Introduction
The 823 Memorial Park, also known as "No. 4 Park" or "Zhonghe Park," is located at the intersection of Yongzheng Road, Anle Road, Anping Road, and Zhong'an Street in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. It can be accessed via the Taipei Metro Zhonghe-Xinlu Line, getting off at Yong'an Market Station. The park covers an area of approximately 11 hectares and is adjacent to or close to Yonghe District. Currently, it is the largest park in the Shuanghe area, often referred to as the "Lung of Shuanghe." The 823 Taiwan Strait Memorial Monument, which is the park's landmark, commemorates a battle that had a profound impact on the development of contemporary Taiwan. The park is also home to the National Taiwan Library, a century-old library that houses important historical documents from the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese rule period in Taiwan. Additionally, the park features facilities such as basketball courts, a children's play area, a skating rink, pavilions, a dog walking area, public restrooms, and fitness equipment, making it an excellent place for sports and leisure activities.
