Arctic Blue Spot Introduction
Located next to Baisha Bay at the 23.5K mark of Taiwan Highway 2, it was originally an abandoned coast guard barrack. "Extreme North Blue Dot" is flanked by Linshanbi on the left and Fugui Cape on the right, facing the ocean, offering excellent scenic conditions. It invites local artists to hold cultural and arts exhibitions and hosts a small creative agricultural market every Sunday, assisting in the development of local creative brands through a series of activities, aiming to establish a new cultural hub for the local community on the north coast and enhance the visibility of creative arts in the area. Originally, the north coast was also an important military fortress managed by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, covering the North Coast and Guanyin Mountain National Scenic Area, and was completed in mid-October 2016. Since it is situated at the northernmost point of Taiwan, this site has been named "Extreme North Blue Dot." In September 2017, it was taken over and operated by Mistral Dessert King.
