Arctic Blue Dot Introduction
Located next to Baishawan on Taiwan Highway 2 at 23.5K, the "Extreme North Blue Dot" was originally a disused Coast Guard station. Positioned between Linshanbi and Fuguei Cape, facing the sea, it boasts excellent scenic conditions. It invites local artists to hold art exhibitions and hosts a creative farmers' market every Sunday, assisting in the development of local cultural and creative brands and creating a new cultural hub for the local community in the North Coast, enhancing the visibility of cultural and creative arts in the area. Originally an important military stronghold on the North Coast, it is managed by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications within the North Coast and Gongying Shan National Scenic Area, with completion in mid-October 2016. Due to its position at the northernmost point of Taiwan, this location is named "Extreme North Blue Dot." In September 2017, it was taken over and operated by Mishti Dessert King.
