Located at the most important transportation hub in Taichung City, Taichung Yuantong is the largest department store in Taiwan. With 14 floors above ground and 2 basement levels, it combines food, retail, wholesale, boutique shopping, and entertainment, all within a spacious environment that avoids congestion. In addition to hosting internationally renowned boutiques, it also features many well-known food options such as Din Tai Fung, GODIVA, and Xiang Food Paradise. The Taiwanese Food Hall is decorated in a traditional style reminiscent of the 1960s and 70s, allowing consumers to feel as if they’ve traveled back in time. Furthermore, the entire building is designed with green energy in mind, incorporating elements such as water conservation through greening the base, rainwater recycling, and a solar power system on the rooftop, along with ice storage air conditioning, setting a new standard for green architecture in the city.
