Haohao + Man Shou Curry Introduction

Hao Hao Jia Slow-cooked Curry invites you to enjoy a good meal and savor the matured flavors. Chef Jasper has worked in several European restaurants and has also opened a small restaurant in Taipei. After returning home to assist with his family's grape orchard business, he conceived the idea of opening a small restaurant in Chiayi, coincidentally with a friend's interest, leading to the establishment of "Hao Hao Jia," which specializes in Southeast Asian matured curry. Jasper says his favorite dish to prepare is beef stew in red wine. After encountering the South Asian matured curry beef stew, he realized that the intricate cooking techniques of both dishes are quite similar, allowing for a successful fusion. He complements the dish with his favorite spices, such as cumin, cardamom, and cloves, and incorporates many vegetables and fruits during the cooking process. The result is a richly flavored dish that is slightly tangy and warm with layers of taste, distinct from traditional curry. The beef uses two different cuts, which, while more labor-intensive to prepare, offers the satisfaction of experiencing two textures of meat at once. Although Chiayi already has several curry restaurants, "Hao Hao Jia" is currently the only one focused on Southeast Asian flavors. The chef also recommends the newly launched Southeast Asian chicken served with fried wontons, a fragrant soup curry. Of course, Jasper's expertise in Italian cuisine also appears on the menu to satisfy those who enjoy foreign culinary delights.
