Hao Hao + Man Shu Curry Introduction

Haohoujia Slow-cooked Curry encourages you to eat well and savor the matured flavors. Chef Jasper has worked in several European restaurants and previously operated a small eatery in Taipei. He returned home to assist with the family grape orchard business, which sparked the idea of opening a small restaurant in Chiayi, coincidentally with a friend's interest, leading to the launch of "Haohoujia," specializing in Southeast Asian matured curry. Jasper's favorite dish to prepare is red wine braised beef. He accidentally came across Southeast Asian matured curry braised beef, finding that the complex cooking techniques of both dishes are quite similar, allowing for a delightful fusion. He pairs the dish with his favorite spices, such as cumin, cardamom, and clove, and the cooking process incorporates various vegetables and fruits. The result is a rich, slightly sour, and warm layered flavor, distinct from traditional curry. The beef is generously selected from two different cuts; although it requires more effort to prepare, it offers the satisfaction of experiencing two textures of meat at once. Although Chiayi already has several curry shops, "Haohoujia" currently stands out with its focus on Southeast Asian flavors. The chef also recommends the newly launched Southeast Asian chicken served with fried wontons, a fragrant soup curry. Of course, Jasper's expertise in Italian cuisine also makes an appearance on the menu, catering to those who enjoy international dishes.
