Haohao + Man Shu Curry Introduction

Haohao Home Slow Cooking Curry invites you to enjoy a nice meal and slowly savor the matured flavors. Chef Jasper has worked in several European restaurants and previously ran a small restaurant in Taipei. Returning home to assist with the family’s grape orchard business, he was inspired to open a small restaurant in Chiayi, coincidentally with a friend who shared the same interest. Thus, "Haohao Home," specializing in Southeast Asian matured curry, was born. Jasper mentioned that his favorite dish to make is red wine braised beef, and after encountering Southeast Asian matured curry braised beef, he found that both require similar intricate cooking techniques and could be combined. He also incorporates his favorite spices, such as cumin, cardamom, and cloves, along with various fruits and vegetables during the cooking process. The result is a rich, slightly tangy, and layered flavor that stands out from traditional curry. The beef is generously prepared using two different cuts, which, although more labor-intensive, allows diners to enjoy two different textures at once, providing a sense of satisfaction. While Chiayi already has several curry restaurants, "Haohao Home" is currently the only one specializing in Southeast Asian flavors. The chef also recommends the newly launched Southeast Asian chicken accompanied by fried wontons, which is a fragrant soup curry.
