Chihcaopu - Chef's Home Introduction
"Chichaopu Culinary Research Studio" is located by the side of Highway 11 in a house made of washed stones. If you're not paying close attention, you might miss it while being captivated by the stunning blue sea view to the right. The restaurant is run by a young couple who began operating this hidden French-style restaurant in 2014. Inside, there are a maximum of 20 seats, and the decor is simple and refreshing; the menu changes once each season. Since the owner previously worked as a French cuisine chef, the couple returned to their hometown and utilized their skills to create highly imaginative seasonal dishes that creatively blend local seasonal ingredients from Changbin with the concepts of "food," local life, and art. Now in its seventh year since 2014, Chichaopu has created 168 different dishes, with culinary concepts inspired by the environment of Changbin, "Huangdi Neijing," love poems, paintings, and moments of solitude, and in 2021, they shifted their creative direction to express the aromatic characteristics of winemaking grapes, such as White Oak, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Grenache, to welcome each person's seasons.
