Dumai Flavor Restaurant Introduction
"Domay Flavor Restaurant" is located in the beautiful village of Yanliao, Hualien, along the coastal Highway 11. It is a local distinctive restaurant featuring indigenous flavors. The lovely owners, a couple, came here over a decade ago and have each contributed their skills to create this leisurely space by the sea, brick by brick. "Domay" (嘟邁) means bear in Amis language. In the past, bears often roamed around Yanliao, so the Amis people referred to this place as Domay. The warm and hospitable owner often showcased her cooking skills while hosting friends, and after opening the restaurant, they focus on indigenous-style dishes and common home-style meals. Friends traveling to Yanliao are welcome to make a reservation in advance by phone! "Domay Flavor Restaurant" is crafted by the couple, and you can also see the owner's driftwood art creations inside and outside the restaurant. The production team of the film "Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale" has also visited this place to purchase artwork from the owner; additionally, the idol drama "Love Comes Again" chose Yanliao's homestays, sea views, and the restaurant kitchen for filming, which is another interesting tidbit to hear about while dining here!
