Jiqiu Xuan Forest Park Introduction
Chihkasan Forest Park is located in Ji'an Township, Hualien County. Originally named Nanpu Green Forest Park, it covers an area of approximately 11 hectares. During the Japanese colonial period, it was an air force base, but in recent years, the government has redesigned and renovated the area, planting a variety of seedlings and plants, transforming it into a multifunctional recreational park for leisure and ecological education. Chihkasan Park primarily features a fairy tale design style and is divided into eight key areas: the central plaza at the entrance, the wind direction plaza, and green zones including the native plant area, aquatic plant area, and dragon bone greenhouse. There are also fun dragonfly sculptures, a children's playground, and a garden maze, making the expansive forest area the best place for family outings on weekends. For cycling enthusiasts, you can bring your own bike to ride freely, enjoy the gentle breeze, and experience various scenes that seem only to exist in fairy tales.
