Zhihshan Forest Park Introduction
Chihkawan Forest Park is located in Ji'an Township, Hualien County. Formerly known as Nanpu Green Forest Park, it covers an area of approximately 11 hectares. During the Japanese colonial period, it was an air force base. In recent years, it has undergone renovation and reorganization by the government, with a variety of tree seedlings planted, transforming it into a multifunctional leisure and ecological education park. Chihkawan Park is primarily designed in a fairy tale style and is divided into eight key areas: the central plaza upon entry, the wind direction instrument plaza, and the green belt areas including the native plant garden, aquatic plant garden, and a dragon bone greenhouse. Additionally, there are fun dragonfly sculptures, a children's playground, and a garden maze that are perfect for kids. This expansive forest park is an ideal recreational spot for families on weekends. For cycling enthusiasts, you can bring your bike and enjoy a leisurely ride while experiencing various scenes that seem to exist only in fairy tales.
