Chikasan Forest Park Introduction
Chihkawshan Forest Park is located in Ji'an Township, Hualien County, originally named Nanpu Green Forest Park. It covers an area of approximately 11 hectares and was once an air force base during the Japanese occupation. In recent years, the government has redeveloped the area, planting a variety of seedlings and plants, transforming it into a multifunctional recreational park for leisure and ecological education. The park features a fairy-tale design style and is divided into eight key areas, including the central square at the entrance, a wind orientation square, as well as a native plant garden, an aquatic plant garden, and a dragon backbone greenhouse in the green zone. There are also fun dragonfly sculptures for children, a children's playground, and a garden maze, making it the perfect resting place for families on weekends. For cycling enthusiasts, visitors can bring their bicycles to enjoy a leisurely ride and experience various scenes that seem to only exist in fairy tales while enjoying the gentle breeze.
