East Coast Visitor Center Introduction
Hualien Visitor Center is the northernmost service point of the East Coast Scenic Area, located on a hillside 8 kilometers south of Provincial Highway 11 in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County. With an expansive view, it offers an excellent vantage point for overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Inside, there are exhibition rooms that introduce the area's natural and cultural resources as well as tourist spots along the eastern coast, along with a multimedia presentation room that accommodates 84 people. In addition to providing brochures about attractions, there are also guides on-site to introduce the natural landscapes, terrain, ecological environment, and cultural resources of the park. Before starting their tour of the East Coast, visitors can come here to consult related travel information. Adjacent to the visitor center, the hillside pond has been rehabilitated with tiger lilies, which bloom from April to the end of May. Along the surrounding scenic paths, visitors can enjoy the sight of the blooming lilies swaying gently in the breeze, bringing joy reminiscent of poetry and song.
