East Coast Visitor Center Introduction
Hualien Visitor Center is the northernmost service point of the East Coast Scenic Area, located on the hillside 8 kilometers south of Provincial Highway 11 in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County. With a wide view, it is an excellent spot to gaze at the Pacific Ocean. Inside, there is an exhibition room introducing the natural and cultural resources of the entire area, as well as tourist points along the eastern coast, and a multimedia presentation room that can accommodate 84 people. In addition to providing brochures for the attractions, there are guides available on-site to introduce the natural landscapes, geographical features, ecological environment, and cultural resources within the park. Before starting their journey along the East Coast, visitors can come here to consult related travel information. Adjacent to the visitor center, the hillside restoration of the pond area features tiger lilies, which bloom from April to the end of May. Along the surrounding scenic pathways, flowers sway in the breeze, offering a poetic and musical delight.
