Sun Moon Lake Bike Station Introduction
The station is located opposite the entrance of the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station (next to the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center) and is the only shop in the area that offers bicycle rental services. It provides Giant bicycles for rent, which are regularly maintained. There are various ways to reach the station: one option is to take a boat to the Ita Thao Pier and walk along the Ita Thao Riverside Trail towards the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station; another option is to take the cable car from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Observation Deck to the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station; or you can take the lake tour bus and get off at the cable car station. If it rains or weather conditions are poor, the shop will not open, so it's advisable to check with the operators in advance. During the annual autumn international fireworks music carnival, discounts on bicycle rentals are available for foreign tourists; inquiries can be made at the shop. Rental services include: free parking and Wi-Fi, introductions to the cycling routes around the lake and the Water Frog Head bike path, itinerary planning (with discounts for boat tickets, cable cars, and accommodation), roadside assistance, professional safety awareness training for cycling, item storage, use of Giant mountain bikes that are regularly maintained, and free helmets and locks provided with bicycle rentals.
