Sun Moon Lake Shuiwa Head Trail Introduction
Shuifawatou Trail is located between Dazhu Lake and Ita Thao. The entrance features a frog statue and a parking lot for small vehicles. The trail is 600 meters long with a height difference of about 60 meters, constructed as an elevated boardwalk. Walking through the bamboo forest path, the trail ends at a circular route by the water's edge. It passes through a Moso bamboo forest with beautiful scenery and rich native trees and ferns. Along the trail, there are several wood flowers that bloom white in summer, making for an excellent viewing experience. Visitors can enjoy the lively ecosystem featuring dancing butterflies, flying birds, leaping fish, and hopping frogs. At the pond's edge, there is a bronze sculpture titled "Frog Stacking," which vividly tells the origin of the place name and serves as an observation marker for water level changes.
