Sun Moon Lake Shuiwawtou Trail Introduction
Shuifawtou Trail is located between Dazhu Lake and Ita Thao. The entrance features a frog statue and a parking lot for small vehicles. The trail is 600 meters long with an elevation drop of about 60 meters, constructed as an elevated walkway. Walking along the bamboo forest path, the trail culminates in a circular route by the water's edge. It passes through a Moso bamboo forest, offering beautiful scenery and abundant native trees and ferns. Along the trail, there are many木荷 trees that bloom with white flowers in the summer, providing high ornamental value. Visitors can enjoy the lively ecosystem with butterflies dancing, birds flying, fish leaping, and frogs jumping. By the pond, there is a bronze sculpture titled "Frog Piling," which vividly narrates the origin of the place name and serves as an observation indicator for water levels.
