Puli Baohu Temple Introduction

The term "Mother Earth" originally comes from China. On the ninth day of the first month of the ninth year of the Guangxu era, the earth mother temple in Jiangyou County, Hanzhong Prefecture, Shaanxi Province, received teachings from the flying phoenix. The incense offerings of the earth mother were also transmitted, passed down through the Liang family of Xinanli in this town, and the recitation of the Earth Mother scripture has never been interrupted. The Earth Mother is the supreme deity who governs the mountains and rivers of the earth and is one of the Four Emperors of Taoism, ranking alongside the Jade Emperor who presides over the heavens. Since ancient times, there has been a saying: "Heaven Yang and Earth Yin, Heaven Duke and Earth Mother," reflecting how ancient peoples respected both heaven and earth, stemming from humanity's reverence for land and nature.
