Fengnian Ganoderma Mushroom Ecological Farm Introduction
Promoting Puli's leisure agriculture and open tourism, experience the joy of picking fresh mushrooms by hand. Fengnian Farm, established in 1966, is a historic farm with a diverse industry, and it also has an independent temperature-controlled cultivation industry that encompasses various stages of edible mushroom production in Taiwan. The manufacture of edible mushrooms is not open to the public and remains a mystery, which means that while people can eat mushrooms and observe their cultivation, they cannot see the entire process of mushroom strain cultivation and production. What we aim to do is to help everyone understand the manufacturing, cultivation, and growth processes of edible mushroom strains, as well as to showcase the diverse varieties of mushrooms that are rarely heard of, along with the ecological functions and missions of edible fungi. Visitors can also experience the joy of picking fresh mushrooms by hand, and they will have the chance to create a bottle of mushroom strain from raw materials, witnessing the life cycle of mushrooms and the management of mushroom production. This promotes Fengnian Farm's tourism industry and expands its scope into another field. For over forty years, Fengnian Farm has focused on the manufacture and cultivation of edible mushroom strains, making it a premier farm in the mushroom industry and a supplier of raw materials for biotechnology companies. The primary cultivated medicinal mushrooms include Ganoderma lucidum, Brazilian mushrooms, Tremella fuciformis, Hericium erinaceus, Hypsizygus marmoreus, and various rare mushrooms, alongside extensive cultivation of species like Antler Ganoderma, Rose mushrooms, Matsutake, and more. Since 2002, in line with the government’s promotion of leisure agriculture in Puli, we opened the farm for tourism, redesigned the visiting routes, improved farm facilities, and added an exhibition and sales center, ecological classroom, outdoor recreation areas, and various interpretive signs about mushrooms, providing a more diverse range of travel services and experiential activities.
