Hsiang Yi Rice Noodles Introduction
Founded in 1982, Tian Mao Co., Ltd. (formerly known as the Cheng Long Factory) was renamed Xiang Yi Food Co., Ltd. in January 2003, primarily producing rice noodles. The couple Lin Ming-Hsing and his wife Li Qiu-Xia worked hard to establish the rice noodle factory. Li Qiu-Xia was recognized for her commitment to agricultural transformation, receiving the National Top Ten Outstanding Agricultural Women award (Shen Nong Award) in 1994, under the guidance of the Kouhu Township Farmers' Association's rice marketing class, for her continuous research and development of new products. Due to their top-notch production techniques and strict quality control, they gained favor with Japanese consumers, subsequently developing exports to the Japanese market and creating more employment opportunities for local women. To promote the development of the leisure and tourism industry, they collaborated with the Jinhau Leisure Agricultural Zone's Visitor Center to plan a series of experiential activities, offering outdoor teaching activities for middle and elementary schools, such as DIY handmade rice noodle creative cooking, which requires prior reservation.
