Douhua Old Shop Introduction
This snack shop located at No. 151, Guo Gou Dong An Li, Budai Township, is right next to a local Chenghuang Temple. Inside, there are only two simple tables and chairs, a cart, and a thirty-year-old old menu (signboard). The shop sells only three items: black tea, mung bean soup, and toufu pudding. Although these are three simple sweet treats, there is a lot of craftsmanship involved. The handmade toufu pudding is both chewy and soft, and the syrup is simmered for a full day and night, making it exceptionally fragrant and sweet. Each mung bean in the soup is soft and tender, neither too hard nor too soft, offering an excellent texture.
