Qinshan Farm Introduction

Qinshan Farm is located next to the Guan Shan Circular Bike Path and is operated by the owner Lai Shan-Neng and his father. Initially focused on cultivating Guan Shan rice, over a decade ago, they broke the traditional framework and transformed the farmland into an agritourism destination, introducing strawberry cultivation from Dahu. This innovative move was not well-received by local farmers at the time. The path of innovation was not smooth, but the father and son duo, with their deep affection for the land, believed that Taitung's beautiful mountains and waters are on par with Dahu, maintaining their spirit of "Why not?" There was a novelty in planting strawberries in Taitung, leading to many thefts of the young crops in the beginning. Additionally, during the farm's transformation, they faced the challenges of directly interacting with customers and the necessary adjustments. The farm is still in a transitional phase, contending with crop damage and various challenges of becoming an agritourism destination. Nevertheless, Lai Shan-Neng and his father continue to persevere, diligently moving towards their dreams. = Slow Food Experience = 2014 Third Individual Farm-to-Table Award Most Creative Ingredient Development Award
