Dings Tea Introduction

In the city, sipping a cup of freshly brewed high-mountain tea at Ding's Tea House, a brand born from the connection between second-generation tea farmer Zhong Mingzhi and a unique shepherd dog named Ding Ding, is a delightful experience. Unlike the typical tea shops found in Taiwan, it operates in the form of a café, serving freshly brewed tea to help young people understand and appreciate the essence of Taiwanese tea without any distance. After returning to the tea industry, Zhong Mingzhi was surprised to discover that the number of young consumers of tea was remarkably low. The younger generation, attracted by the convenience and affordability of bubble tea, felt disconnected from traditional Taiwanese tea, lacking understanding of its culture and significance, and hesitant to enter tea shops for exploration. Thus, bridging the gap between Taiwanese tea and young people became our initial motivation for establishing Ding's Tea House. Ding's Tea House has introduced a new way of enjoying tea, creating a comfortable and pressure-free drinking space. Guests can choose a cozy seat and order any tea from the menu. Once the tea is brewed and served, they can savor the flavors slowly or enjoy a novel from the shelf alongside their tea. They can even chat with the manager at the bar, who shares insights about tea cultivation and production as well as history related to tea, giving guests a deeper understanding and appreciation of it. We are fortunate to be in a renowned tea production area in Taiwan and hope that through our tea house, young friends who are still unfamiliar with Taiwanese tea can get a basic introduction and gradually develop a habit of enjoying a cup of tea in their lives. As winter arrives quietly, our winter limited edition - osmanthus oolong tea is warming the shelves. Why not come and sit with us to hear the story of fine Taiwanese tea?
