Kelin Taibao Introduction
"Ke Lin Food Shop" is a special memory for the people of Tainan, creating many memorable products. The "Eight Treasure Meat Bun," which began selling 35 years ago, is also Ke Lin's signature item, a masterpiece of the first-generation Mr. Liu. The origin of this bun comes from the New Year's Eve tradition when "Grandma To" would prepare Eight Treasure Meat Balls, which can be steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or deep-fried, making it a versatile ingredient. Mr. Liu modified the Eight Treasure Meat Balls, making them heavier in flavor for better preservation since refrigerators were not common appliances at that time. Each bun is priced at 15 NT dollars, and only 60 are sold each day, limited supply.
