Ah-Hsia Restaurant Introduction

The founder of "Ah Hsia Restaurant," Ms. Wu Jin-hsia, was unable to continue her education due to family financial issues and helped at her father's "rice table" to support the household and raise her siblings. After the war, they moved to the Central Market area, near the current Guohua Building, selling deep-fried meatballs, large intestines, pork intestines, and shrimp rolls. Due to its prime location and excellent flavors, the restaurant gradually gained popularity, attracting many well-known political figures from Tainan as regular customers. In 1983, they relocated to the current site and officially named it "Ah Hsia Restaurant." It gained significant fame after being visited by former President Chiang Ching-kuo, becoming a must-visit spot for future Taiwanese presidents and politicians, as well as celebrities when they came to Tainan.
