Wenfeng Tea House Introduction
The ancestors of the Chen family immigrated to Taiwan from Quanzhou, Fujian Province during the Qing Tongzhi period and settled next to the wealthy merchant Wu Shangxin's "Wu Garden" in Fangqiaotou. This has a history of 138 years. The Wenfeng Tea House was passed down through the generations until the third generation, and from the fourth generation onward, it has been passed down among siblings in succession. Initially, the fourth generation's Chen Fulian passed it on to his eldest son, Chen Yulin, who then handed it over to his sister, who managed it for over twenty years. It is now run by the sixth generation couple, Chen Yuxiong and Huang Yumei. The shop is not large, but it is filled with various old tea utensils, tea cakes, and antique tea containers.
