GuaGua Garden Sweet Potato Ecological Story Museum (Tourist Factory) Introduction
Xinhua District is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and is rich in agricultural resources, particularly famous for sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, and pineapples. The Xinhua District Office has designated these three agricultural products as the "Three Treasures of Xinhua." In the past, sweet potatoes were mainly used as animal feed, but the Xinhua area has favorable conditions due to its climate, geology, and farming techniques. To revitalize the glory of the "Sweet Potato Kingdom," the Xinhua Farmers' Association has assisted farmers in establishing a sweet potato production and marketing group 16 years ago, creating the "Guaguayuan" sweet potato culinary brand. From a single french fry ingredient, nearly twenty products have been developed, including traditional local flavors with added convenience like the frozen baked sweet potato. It has a fragrant, chewy, and soft texture, making it enjoyable whether eaten cold or hot. When paired with milk, it becomes a perfect breakfast match and is one of the best-selling products. Other offerings include sweet potato popsicles that retain the original flavor, golden sweet potato balls, sweet potato bamboo shoot dumplings, pearl balls, and black gold sweet potatoes.
