Yilan Literary Museum Introduction
The Yilan Literary Museum is located in the city of Yilan, adjacent to the Yilan Government Memorial Hall. Featuring a strong Japanese architectural style, the Yilan Literary Museum was formerly the principal's dormitory of an old agricultural school. After renovations and restoration to its original appearance, it became the Yilan Music Hall. In order to help more people understand Lanyang literature, it was later transformed into the Yilan Literary Museum. The museum still retains the original Japanese-style halls, but due to limited space, the museum has created small compartments using sliding doors, offering visitors different options. Additionally, there is a dining area within the park, housed in an old historic mansion, which is operated by an external management entity, allowing visitors to rest, quietly sip tea, and enjoy a tranquil and comfortable space. Due to its serene environment and harmonious atmosphere, the site has attracted famous celebrities such as Takeshi Kaneshiro, who filmed a television commercial here, drawing large crowds of tourists and making the Yilan Literary Museum a popular photography spot. Entering the museum allows one to settle their mind, experience the peace that the environment offers, slow down their hurried pace, read the literary works of Lanyang authors, and immerse themselves in the world of books.
