Yilan Literature Museum Introduction
The Yilan Literary Museum is located in the city of Yilan, next to the Yilan Memorial Hall of Governance. With a strong Japanese architectural style, the Yilan Literary Museum was originally the principal's residence of an old agricultural school. After renovations and restoration, it became the Yilan Music Hall. To raise awareness of Lanyang literature, it has now been transformed into the Yilan Literary Museum. The museum still retains its original Japanese-style buildings; however, due to the smaller space, the management has utilized sliding doors to create small compartments, offering visitors different options. Additionally, the park features a dining area located in an old historic main secretariat mansion, which is managed externally, allowing visitors to take a break, quietly enjoy tea, and experience a tranquil and comfortable space. Because of its serene environment and peaceful atmosphere, the location has attracted renowned film star Takeshi Kaneshiro, who filmed a television advertisement here, drawing a large number of tourists to visit, making the Yilan Literary Museum a popular photo spot. Entering the museum allows one to reflect and feel the calmness the environment provides, encouraging visitors to slow down their hurried pace, read the literary works of Lanyang writers, and immerse themselves in the world of books.
