Xinliao Waterfall Introduction
The Xinfeng Waterfall is located in Zhongshan Village, Dongshan Township, and serves as the source of the Dongshan River. The Xinfeng Waterfall Trail is approximately 900 meters long, following the Xinfeng Creek valley. However, in order to protect the ecological environment, there is a control station at the entrance of the Xinfeng Waterfall, limiting visitors to 350 people. The source of Xinfeng Creek is the 980-meter-high Xinfeng Mountain, where the developed fault landscape has formed ten waterfalls along the way, with Xinfeng Waterfall being the lowest one, converging with the Jiuliao Creek to form the Dongshan River. The trail is rich in diverse forest ecology, where one can often hear the chirping of insects and birds, or see butterflies and dragonflies fluttering about. The path is covered with wood chips and gravel, allowing walkers to smell the faint scent of wood. Due to its short distance and ease of hiking, it is a popular trail. Upon reaching the end, one can hear the gentle sound of flowing water and see the majestic Xinfeng Waterfall cascading down 30 meters, with a deep green pond at its base, creating a spectacular scene. The forest near the waterfall feels cool, and taking a deep breath of the negative ions in the air sweeps away the fatigue and worries from the hike.
