Hankui Suspension Bridge Introduction

Hanxi Suspension Bridge is located in Hanxi Village, Datong Township, spanning across the upstream of Fanshe Stream, with a total length of 324 meters. The bridge is adorned with colorful diamond totems representing the ancestral spirit eyes of the Atayal tribe, showcasing vibrant and beautiful colors. It is the longest and most beautiful cable suspension bridge in Yilan County. Hanxi is both the name of a stream and a place, originally called "Han Dead Stream." The deep valley of the upstream Fanshe Stream has turbulent waters that are quite cold, hence the name Hanxi. The Hanxi Suspension Bridge serves as a vital connection between the Hanxi Tribe and Huaxing Community. Standing on the bridge offers a view of the entire valley's beauty, overlooking the endless lush mountains. This suspension bridge, which features distinctive elements of Taiwan's indigenous culture, has become an important landmark for Hanxi Village. Walking on the Hanxi Suspension Bridge allows you to take in the sights of the green mountains and valleys, experiencing a pure, untroubled beauty away from urban disturbances. After crossing the bridge, visitors can also explore the nearby Hanxi Tribe and ancient paths, and visit the mysterious ruins of the Hanxi Shrine, making for a delightful little trip filled with mountain tribal culture.
