Hanxi Suspension Bridge Introduction
Hanxi Suspension Bridge is located in Hanxi Village, Datong Township, spanning the upper reaches of Fanshe Creek, with a total length of 324 meters. The bridge is adorned with colorful diamond totems representing the ancestral spirits of the Atayal tribe, making it the longest and most beautiful suspension bridge in Yilan County. Hanxi is the name of a creek as well as a place, originally named Han Sih Ren Creek. Due to the deep gorge of the upper Fanshe Creek, the water flows rapidly and is very cold, hence the name Hanxi. The Hanxi Suspension Bridge serves as a vital link between Hanxi tribe and Huaxing Community. Standing on the bridge offers stunning views of the entire valley and the continuous green mountains. This suspension bridge, deeply rooted in the features of Taiwan's indigenous culture, has become an important landmark of Hanxi Village. Walking on the Hanxi Suspension Bridge provides a panoramic view of the lush mountains and valleys, allowing visitors to experience the unspoiled beauty, away from urban disturbances. After crossing the bridge, one can also stroll around the nearby Hanxi tribe and ancient paths, exploring the mysterious ruins of Hanxi Shrine for a small trip filled with the style of mountain indigenous culture.
