National Central University Introduction
National Central University is located in the Zhongli Shuanglian slope area, covering an area of about 62 hectares. Due to its beautiful campus landscape and convenient location, it has become a filming location for many television dramas. With the popularity gained from these shows, National Central University has become not just a campus but also a favorite dating spot for young people. Here, you can stroll along the Baihuachuan Pine Forest Path, lined with tall pines, breathe in the fragrant osmanthus scent carried by the wind, and easily take in the vast green lawns, the rippling waters of Zhongda Lake, and the artworks of renowned domestic sculptor Ju Ming. Entering the campus through the main gate along Zhongda Road, the first thing that greets your eyes is an oval garden designed along the sloping terrain, featuring the words "National Central University" woven from golden banyan trees, creating a stunning visual impact. Continuing the adventure past the roundabout, you can walk along the stone-paved Baihuachuan Pine Forest Path, which includes viewing platforms, leisure seats, and lighting facilities. Here, you can admire Ju Ming’s famous bronze sculpture "Tai Chi Arch" on the large lawn, and find the enormous banyan tree known as the "Cathay Tree" in the space affectionately dubbed "Central Park." This unique tree resembles the logo of Cathay Life Insurance, making it another perfect photo spot. At the end of the trail, there's an outdoor café where visitors can often be seen leisurely enjoying coffee and sunshine on weekends, while the sounds of laughter from kites and frisbees fill the air, creating a relaxed and carefree atmosphere. The exceptional beauty of National Central University's campus has attracted several idol dramas, such as the lake scene where the main characters fall into Zhongda Lake in "The Promise of Eighteen," the Cathay Tree where Wu Chen-Jun makes a wish in "Peach Girl," the bench next to the Tai Chi lawn where Angela Zhang sits in "Love You 17," and the Pine Forest Avenue where Zai Zai rides his bike in "The Poverty Prince." Recently, the "Cheng Dong University" in the story of "My Freedom Era" is actually National Central University, with the romantic Baihuachuan serving as the setting for its Christmas ball. Every Christmas, the university decorates the area with colorful lights to enhance the festive atmosphere. In addition to its cultural and artistic vibe, the campus features two elegant fountain ponds, with lush greenery swaying in the breeze and scattered leaves adding poetic charm. Groups of students or couples walking together create a romantic atmosphere in the campus. If you're not in a hurry, you can walk hand in hand with your partner across the large lawn at the entrance, spending a leisurely afternoon, or lie back to let the warm sun kiss you, together writing chapters of your love story.
