National Central University Introduction
National Central University is located in the Luzhu District of Zhongli, covering an area of approximately 62 hectares. The beautiful campus scenery, combined with its convenient location, has made it a popular filming location for many television dramas. With the popularity of these shows, National Central University has become not just a campus but also a favorite dating spot for young people. Here, you can stroll along the Pine Forest Trail of Baihuachuan, surrounded by towering pines, breathe in the fragrant osmanthus scent carried by the wind, and easily take in the expansive green lawns, the shimmering waters of the university lake, and the artworks of renowned domestic sculptor Ju Ming. Entering the campus through the main gate along Zhongda Road, the first sight that catches the eye is the oval-shaped garden designed along the sloping terrain, with "National Central University" woven in yellow banyan in the center, creating a magnificent atmosphere. Continuing through the circular area, you will find yourself walking on the stone-paved "Baihuachuan Pine Forest Trail," which has viewing platforms, leisure seating, and lighting facilities along the way. You can appreciate Ju Ming's famous bronze sculpture "Tai Chi Arch" on the adjacent lawn and discover a large banyan tree, known as the "Cathay Tree" due to its resemblance to the Cathay Life logo, on the spacious lawn known as "Central Park," perfect for memorable photo opportunities. At the end of the trail is an outdoor cafe where visitors often relax on weekends, enjoying coffee under the sun while listening to the laughter of friends flying kites and tossing frisbees, creating a carefree and poetic atmosphere. The picturesque scenery of National Central University has attracted many idol dramas, such as the pond where the main characters fall into the water in "The 18-Year-Old Promise," the Cathay Tree of Wu Chen-jun's wish in "Peach Girl," the chair where Angela Zhang sits next to the Tai Chi lawn in "Love Kill 17," and the Pine Forest Avenue where the character rides a bike in "Rich Boy, Poor Boy," among others. Recently, "Chengdong University," featured in "My Free Years," is actually National Central University, with the romantic Baihuachuan serving as the setting for the university's Christmas dance. During the Christmas season, the university decorates the area with colorful lights to create a festive atmosphere. In addition to its cultural and artistic ambiance, the campus features two very elegant fountains surrounded by lush green shores swaying in the breeze, adding a poetic touch with scattered fallen leaves. Groups of students or couples can be seen walking in the campus, contributing to the romantic atmosphere. If you’re not in a hurry, you can share happy moments on the large lawn at the entrance with your partner, enjoying a leisurely afternoon together or lying down to let the warm sun kiss you, writing pages of love stories together.
