National Central University Introduction
National Central University is located in the Zhongli Shuanglian slope area, covering approximately 62 hectares. With its beautiful campus scenery and convenient location, it has become a popular filming site for many television idol dramas. The popularity from these shows has turned National Central University not just into a campus but also into a favorite dating spot for young people. Here, you can stroll along the Baihuachuan Pine Forest Trail lined with tall pines, breathe in the fragrant osmanthus scent carried by the wind, and easily take in the expansive green lawns, the willow-draped waters of ZHONGDA Lake, and art pieces by renowned Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming. Entering the campus through the main gate along Zhongda Road, the first thing that catches your eye is the oval garden designed along the slope, with "National Central University" woven in yellow banyan trees at its center, creating a magnificent sight. Continuing through the circular area, you can walk along the stone-paved Baihuachuan Pine Forest Trail, which features observation platforms, leisure seating, and lighting facilities. Here, you can admire Ju Ming's famous bronze sculpture "Tai Chi Arch" beside a large lawn and discover a magnificent banyan tree known as the "Cathay Tree" due to its resemblance to the logo of Cathay Life Insurance, both of which are perfect spots for photo opportunities. The uniquely beautiful campus has also attracted numerous idol dramas, such as the lake scene in "The Promise of 18," the "Cathay Tree" where Wu Chenjun makes a wish in "Peach Girl," the chair where Angela Chang sits next to the Tai Chi lawn in "Love You 17," and the Pine Forest Avenue in "The Poor Nobleman's" bike scenes. More recently, the "Chengdong University" in "My Free Days" is actually National Central University, and the romantic Baihuachuan became the scene for the Christmas ball of "Chengdong University." Each Christmas, the university decorates the area with colorful lights, creating a festive atmosphere.
