Guanyin Bicycle Path Introduction
Taoyuan's unique landscapes feature "Ponds" and "Lotus," all accessible via the Guanyin Bicycle Path, which is divided into northern and southern routes by County Road 112. The Northern Loop, "Pond Tour," stretches 6 kilometers and showcases beautiful ponds that shimmer like crystals along the way, captivating visitors. The Southern Loop, "Lotus Garden Tour," connects several recreational farms over a 7.5-kilometer route, where you can admire the swaying lotus flowers and savor dishes made with lotus seeds. The Northern Pond Tour begins at Fuxin Road by the school pond, where a gentle breeze encourages visitors to slow down and appreciate the serene sunset reflections on the lake. On Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white paperbark trees stretch nearly 3 kilometers, providing shade as sunlight filters through the gaps in the leaves, offering a relaxing flow of time. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white paperbark flowers add delightful surprises to the green landscape. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured the Guanyin Guangfu community as one of its exhibition areas, installing art along the Northern Loop to allow travelers to experience rich natural ecology while enjoying artistic creativity. The Southern Lotus Garden Tour can be accessed by turning from Route 11 onto Taoyuan 84 Xinhua Road or Taoyuan 99 Jinhua Road, following the signs. Additionally, riding south allows cyclists to cross the east-west expressway No. 66, leading to the lotus gardens in Xinwu, which showcase different themed flower fields each season, such as sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos that welcome visitors with vibrant colors. Riding through these gardens is a delightful experience, making it a great spot for couples and families to capture memorable photos. Visitors to the Guanyin Bicycle Path do not need to bring their own bikes, as nearby lotus gardens offer rental services. After a day of exploration, many farms also provide dining services, making it the perfect time for a delicious afternoon tea.
