Guanyin Bike Path Introduction
Taoyuan's unique landscapes - "Ponds" and "Lotus" all in one! The Guanyin Cycling Path is divided into northern and southern circular routes along Provincial Highway 112. The northern route, the "Pond Tour," spans 6 kilometers, showcasing stunning views of ponds that shimmer like crystals along the way. The southern route, the "Lotus Garden Tour," connects multiple leisure farms, covering a distance of 7.5 kilometers. Besides enjoying the swaying beauty of the lotus flowers, visitors can also savor lotus seed dishes worth tasting. The northern Pond Tour begins at Fuxin Road beside the school pond; with a gentle breeze blowing, it encourages one to slow down and appreciate the serene sunset reflecting on the lake's surface. On Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white-bark trees stretch nearly 3 kilometers, with sunlight streaming through the gaps in the foliage, making time feel leisurely and refreshing for both body and mind. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white-bark flowers decorate the green woods, adding a delightful surprise to the journey. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured the Guanyin Guangfu Community as one of the exhibition zones, featuring installation art along the northern route, allowing travelers to appreciate the rich natural ecology while enjoying the fun of art. The southern "Lotus Garden Tour" can be accessed by turning from Route 11 to Taoyuan 84 Xinhua Road or Taoyuan 99 Jinhua Road, following the signs. Additionally, cycling south can lead you through the East-West Expressway No. 66 to reach the lotus gardens in Xinwu, where different themed flower fields bloom in each season. Sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos offer vibrant displays that greet visitors, making the journey quite pleasant - a perfect spot for couples and families to capture memories. Visitors riding the Guanyin Cycling Path do not need to bring their own bicycles, as nearby lotus gardens provide rental services. When tired, many farms offer dining options, and enjoying afternoon tea is indeed a delightful experience.
