Guanyin Bicycle Path Introduction
Taoyuan's unique landscapes feature "pools" and "lotus" all in one! The Guanyin Bicycle Path is divided into northern and southern loops by County Road 112. The northern loop, "Pool Journey," spans 6 kilometers, showcasing stunning views of shimmering pools that resemble crystals. The southern loop, "Lotus Garden Journey," connects several leisure farms, covering a distance of 7.5 kilometers. Besides enjoying the swaying lotus flowers, visitors can also savor dishes made from lotus seeds. The northern loop starts at Fuxin Road, next to Xuexiao Pond, where a gentle breeze encourages visitors to slow down and appreciate the serene sunset reflecting on the lake. On Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white paperbark trees stretch nearly 3 kilometers, with sunlight filtering through the gaps in the trees, creating a tranquil atmosphere. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white paperbark flowers add delightful white surprises to the green forest. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured the Guanyin Guangfu community as one of the exhibition areas, installing art along the northern loop to guide travelers in experiencing the rich natural ecology while enjoying artistic fun. The southern loop's "Lotus Garden Journey" can be accessed by turning onto Taoyuan 84 Xinhua Road or Taoyuan 99 Jinhua Road from County Road 11, with signs directing the way. Additionally, biking southward allows riders to cross the east-west expressway No. 66, connecting to the lotus garden in Xinyu, where seasonal flower fields display different themed blooms, such as sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos, welcoming visitors with vibrant colors—a perfect spot for couples and families to capture beautiful photos. Visitors to the Guanyin Bicycle Path do not need to bring their own bicycles, as nearby lotus gardens offer rental services. After a day of exploration, many farms also provide dining services, making it an ideal time for afternoon tea, a delightful experience.
