Guanyin Bicycle Path Introduction
Taoyuan's unique landscapes - "Ponds" and "Lotuses" all in one! The Guanyin Bicycle Path is divided into northern and southern circular routes by Provincial Highway 112. The northern circuit, "Pond Tour," is a 6-kilometer path lined with beautiful ponds sparkling like crystals, providing a stunning view. The southern circuit, "Lotus Garden Tour," connects several leisure farms over a 7.5-kilometer trail, where visitors can admire the swaying lotus flowers and taste lotus seed dishes. The northern pond tour starts at Fuxin Road beside the school pond, where a gentle breeze encourages one to slow down and relish the tranquil sunset reflecting on the lake. On Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white paperbark trees form a green canopy stretching nearly 3 kilometers, with sunlight filtering through the branches, creating a leisurely flow of time that refreshes both body and mind. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white paperbark flowers dot the greenery, adding a surprise touch of white to the journey. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured the Guanyin Guangfu community as one of the exhibition areas, with installation art set up along the northern route to immerse travelers in the rich natural ecology while enjoying the fun of art. The southern "Lotus Garden Tour" can be accessed by turning onto Tao 84 Xinhua Road or Tao 99 Jinhua Road from Route 11; signs will guide the way. Furthermore, riding south allows cyclists to cross the East-West Expressway No. 66, connecting to the lotus garden in Xinyu, where seasonal flower fields showcase various themes with sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos flowers greeting visitors. This area is an ideal location for couples and families to capture beautiful moments. Visitors to the Guanyin Bicycle Path don't need to bring their own bicycles, as nearby lotus gardens offer rental services. After a long ride, many farms also provide dining services, making it the perfect time to enjoy afternoon tea.
