Guanyin Bicycle Path Introduction
Taoyuan's unique landscapes feature "ponds" and "lotuses" all in one! The Guanyin Bicycle Path is divided into a northern and southern loop along Provincial Highway 112. The northern loop, "Pond Tour," spans 6 kilometers, showcasing a series of stunning ponds that sparkle like crystals. The southern loop, "Lotus Garden Tour," connects several leisure farms over a distance of 7.5 kilometers, where visitors can admire the swaying lotuses and taste lotus seed delicacies. The northern Pond Tour starts at Fukhsin Road by the school's pond, where a gentle breeze encourages a leisurely pace, allowing one to savor the serene sunset reflecting on the lake. Along Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white paperbark trees stretch across nearly 3 kilometers, with sunlight filtering through the gaps in the trees, creating a slow flow of time that refreshes both body and mind. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white paperbark flowers adorn the green forest, adding a surprise of white to the journey. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured Guanyin Guangfu Community as one of its exhibition areas, with installation art along the northern loop, allowing travelers to appreciate the rich natural ecology while enjoying artistic fun. The southern Lotus Garden Tour can be accessed from County Road 11 to Taoyuan Highway 84 Xinhua Road or Taoyuan Highway 99 Jinhua Road, following the signs. Additionally, riding southward allows cyclists to cross the east-west Expressway 66, connecting to the lotus gardens in Xinwu, where various themed flower fields bloom throughout the seasons, including sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos, creating vibrant scenes that welcome visitors. Traveling through the Guanyin Bicycle Path is quite pleasant and a great spot for couples and families to capture memories. Visitors do not need to bring their own bicycles, as nearby lotus farms offer rental services. After a fun day, many farms also have dining options, making for a perfect afternoon tea experience in this wonderful time.
