Guanyin Bicycle Path Introduction
Taoyuan's Unique Landscapes – "Ponds" and "Lotus" in One Go! The Guanyin Bicycle Path separates into northern and southern loop routes from County Road No. 112. The northern loop, "Pond Tour," stretches 6 kilometers, featuring beautiful scenery of stunning ponds that sparkle like crystals along the way. The southern loop, "Lotus Garden Tour," connects several leisure farms, covering a distance of 7.5 kilometers. Here, visitors can admire the swaying lotus flowers and enjoy delicious lotus seed dishes. The northern loop's Pond Tour begins at Fuxin Road by the school pond, where the gentle breeze encourages a slower pace to savor the tranquil view of the sunset reflecting on the lake's surface. On Section 2 of Fushan Road, 700 white paperbark trees stretch for nearly 3 kilometers, with sunlight filtering through the gaps in the trees, creating a leisurely atmosphere. From late summer to early winter, clusters of white paperbark flowers add a touch of white magic to the green forest, enhancing the travel experience. The 2017 Landscape Art Festival featured the Guanyin Guangfu community as one of the exhibition areas, installing art pieces along the northern loop to immerse travelers in rich natural ecology while enjoying the fun of art. The southern loop "Lotus Garden Tour" can be accessed by turning onto Xinhua Road (Taoyuan County Road 84) or Jinhua Road (Taoyuan County Road 99) from County Road No. 11. Additionally, cyclists heading south can cross the East-West Expressway No. 66, connecting to the lotus garden in Xinwu, where various themed flower fields bloom with sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos in different seasons, attracting visitors with their vibrant displays. Traveling through this area is delightful, making it an excellent spot for couples and families to capture memorable photographs. Visitors to the Guanyin Bicycle Path do not need to bring their bikes, as nearby lotus gardens offer rental services. After a fun ride, many farms provide dining options, making for a perfect tea time in the lovely atmosphere.
