Part of the small space serves as a bookstore, with shelves filled with books on both sides, facilitating a book exchange system for travelers. This provides a stress-free environment for rest and reading. The small loft of Shidianzi 69 Organic Bookstore has transformed into a backpacker’s lodge. In the past, due to high birth rates, a single house would often accommodate more than ten people, and this small loft is a prime example of how the early Hakka people effectively utilized space. Now, this small loft retains its function and has become a lodge for travelers. The charming little Hakka house has become a hidden gem that foreign backpackers come to explore. The small bookstore is not only a place for books; the weathered walls are adorned with artworks by local artists. In addition to hosting exhibitions from time to time, various activities such as storytelling by moms and local light travel tours are lively events here, with the hope of altering behavior and thoughts through art.
