Stone Shop 69 Organic Bookstore Introduction

Lu Wen-Chun has rented an old building that is over a century old, making efforts to keep the original appearance of the house. Part of the small house serves as a bookstore, filled with books on shelves on both sides, facilitating exchanges through a book-swapping system, providing travelers with a space to rest and read without pressure. The loft of the Organic Bookstore at Shidianzi 69 has transformed into a backpacker’s hostel. In the past, due to high birth rates, a single house would often accommodate more than ten people, and this small loft exemplified the early Hakka people's effective use of space. Now, this loft maintains its original function, serving as a lodging for travelers. The old Hakka house is small yet beautiful, becoming a hidden gem for foreign backpackers seeking unique experiences. The small bookstore is not just a bookstore; on the weathered walls hang works by artists. In addition to hosting occasional exhibitions, various activities such as storytelling by the mother and guided local light travels are lively events here, aiming to promote behavioral and ideological change through art.
