Beipu Xiuluan Park Introduction
Xiuluan Park is located in the southeastern corner of Beipu Street, covering an area of 3.6 hectares. It is one of the famous "Twelve Scenic Spots" in Hsinchu County. Its history dates back to the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933), when residents of Daan established this memorial park to honor the pioneering efforts of Jiang Xiuluan. It was initially named "Xiuluan Mountain." In the 65th year of the Republic of China (1976), it was officially renamed "Xiuluan Park." The park features the "Centennial Commemorative Monument," which celebrates Jiang Xiuluan's contributions to local development. Furthermore, the park houses three precious camphor trees over 150 years old, which have been designated as protected trees, witnessing Beipu's natural and cultural history. Today, Xiuluan Park not only preserves the memory of the pioneering history but also serves as a green space for local residents and travelers to rest, blending the beauty of history, culture, and nature, making it one of the must-visit attractions in Beipu.
