Jiang A-Sin Western-Style Building Introduction

The Jiang Ahsin Western-style villa is located between the national historic site, Beipu Jin Guangfu Mansion, and Tianshui Hall, as well as the county historic site, Beipu Citian Temple, holding an important position in the Beipu area. In addition to its historical significance in the development history of Dapai, the building represents the characteristics of the Beipu region during the Japanese colonial period and has been designated as a county historic site. Jiang Ahsin was born in the 34th year of the Meiji period (1901) and served as the chairman of the Zhudong Tea Company. After Taiwan's retrocession, he established Yongguang Co., Ltd. to export black tea, making him a wealthy businessman from Beipu with tea as his foundation. He later also served as a member of the temporary provincial council of Taiwan. The Jiang Ahsin residence was built in the 35th year of the Republic of China and was completed in the 38th year, during the peak of Jiang's career, and was constructed as a mansion for hosting guests and for residential purposes. The design of the Jiang Ahsin residence was created by local architect Peng Yuli from Zhudong and features a Western style, with careful selection of materials and craftsmanship.
