If you want to experience the changing of the seasons without leaving Hualien City, the best place to recommend is the Maple Trail located in Ji'an Township. The trail is easy to walk, with a total length of about 2.85 kilometers. Every autumn, the maple leaves turn red, and when you come here, you can walk along the 6 viewing platforms set along the way to overlook the beautiful scenery of Ji'an Township and Hualien City from different angles. The views during the day and night are remarkably different, so don't forget to take stunning photos to capture wonderful memories. The changes in the Taiwan Sweetgum trees beside the Ji'an River also convey the message of autumn, with the red tips of the trees making the brilliance of autumn comparable to the vibrant colors of spring and the energy of summer.
