Air Force Military History Museum Introduction

In the early years of the Republic of China, the founding father recognized the importance of aviation for national defense and military purposes. He once handwrote "Aviation Saves the Nation" and predicted that in future wars, airplanes would be the ultimate weapon for victory. Therefore, starting in 1928, an aviation squadron was established in Nanjing, followed by the founding of the Central Aviation School to cultivate aviation elites in our country. Throughout the Eastern Expedition, Northern Expedition, anti-bandit operations, and the War of Resistance, to commemorate the glorious history and heroic deeds of the air force's contributions to the nation, the Air Force History Museum was specially established at the Kaohsiung Air Force Academy, featuring over 20,000 artifacts across 22 display units. The museum is open for visits by organizations, schools, and groups from Tuesday to Friday, while it is freely accessible to military personnel and the public on Saturdays and Sundays. To understand the history of the air force and experience the lofty ambitions, the various photographs, artifacts, and models on display at the museum will surely make your visit worthwhile.
