Crystal Cathedral Introduction
The Crystal Church is located at the boundary between the northern salt pans of Zhoubei and the Zhongzhou salt pans. The west coast is open and flat, historically marked by salt pans, with salt piles being prominent features. The design of the Crystal Church is inspired by the large and small salt piles. The primary color is white, reflecting the crystalline nature of salt, and it embodies the church's mission of comforting numerous patients suffering from black foot disease, hence the name "Crystal Church." Completed in 2014, the Crystal Church has become a popular spot for wedding photography, offering a wide and distant view of the Xishan, "Dog Mist," and the Tizhu Tower to the south, as well as access to the Jingzai Salt Pans to the west. The lighting schedule for the Crystal Church is as follows: during summer (from March 1 to September 30), on holidays from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM; during winter (from October 1 to February 28/29), on holidays from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
