Crystal Cathedral Introduction
The Crystal Church is located at the intersection of the Zhoubei Salt Fields and the Zhongzhou Salt Fields. The western coastal area is flat and open, with salt fields as the predominant landscape in the past, where the salt piles stand out above the surface. The design of the Crystal Church is inspired by the large salt piles connected to smaller ones. The primary color is white, symbolizing salt, and it draws inspiration from the translucent nature of crystallized salt, combined with the church's intention to comfort numerous patients suffering from black foot disease, hence the name Crystal Church. Completed in 2014, the Crystal Church has become a popular spot for wedding photography, offering a broad and distant view where one can gaze towards the Xishan, "Dog Mist," and the Brine Tower to the south, and connect westward to the Jingzaijiao Salt Fields. The lighting times for the Crystal Church at night are: Summer (March 1 to September 30): Holidays from 18:00 to 18:30; Winter (October 1 to February 28/29): Holidays from 17:30 to 18:00.
