National Center for Traditional Arts Yilan Park Introduction

The red brick walls beneath the verdant mountains and clear waters exude a traditional nostalgic flavor. This is the National Center for Traditional Arts Yilan Park, located by the Dongshan River, facing the Water Park as if they were twin cities across the river. The vast park features lakes, greenery, traditional architecture, and natural beauty, making it an excellent place for families to enjoy a cultural journey together. If you want to experience the essence of traditional folk life and art, come for a stroll at the Center for Traditional Arts! Upon entering the park, you will be greeted with numerous surprises. The Traditional Street, designed to blend the characteristics of various street houses, has a strong atmosphere of old streets and traditional settlements. In addition to craft displays, there are daily demonstrations by artisans, which are quite exciting and interesting. The reconstructed Huang Ju-Ren residence allows visitors to glimpse the living conditions of a traditional Sanhe courtyard; the distinctive curved entrance bears the plaque "Wen Kui," signifying the extraordinary achievements of Huang Ju-Ren, and every detail within the house showcases traditional beauty. The Wen Chang Temple is a simplified version of a temple that carries the skills and craftsmanship of national treasure artisans, with simple roof decorations and a swallow-tail ridge, resembling a beautiful skyline painted by flying swallows. The open-air stage by the riverside and the scenic agricultural area regularly host various skill demonstration events, dynamically showcasing traditional arts. Meanwhile, the Quyi Museum often holds traditional opera performances for tourists to enjoy. The expansive Center for Traditional Arts is both lively and enriching, offering a wealth of activities and enjoyment. Besides crafts, opera performances, and architectural showcases, you can also enjoy water activities and birdwatching while appreciating both cultural and natural beauty!
