Donggang Banyan Tree Park Introduction
At the estuary of Donggang Village in Zhuangwei Township, there is a banyan tree park where visitors can relax and unwind. You can rest on the hammocks suspended between the ancient trees or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shaded avenues, where light and shadows dance, allowing you to savor the peaceful moments. Donggang Banyan Tree Park is located at the southern exit of the Coastal Bike Path, making it one of the resting spots along the bike route. It is named for the dense shade created by the intertwined lush branches, and it has become a stopover point for cyclists and tourists looking to escape the summer heat and appreciate the scenery. The unique "Fishing Net Hammocks" are woven by local fishermen and residents, and trying out the joyful experience of relaxing in the hammocks is a must-do when visiting the park. The public shrine under the trees is also a gathering place for local residents to relax and chat. Exiting the banyan tree park, you will see the remnants of a simple old wharf, where fishing boats still dock today. Although it doesn't boast the bustling fishing scene of the past, it retains a strong fishing village atmosphere and simple charm.
