Mazu Stone Sculpture Introduction

The tallest statue of Mazu in Southeast Asia, this stone statue stands about 26.66 meters tall and is constructed from 299 pieces of granite and 161 pieces of clear stone. It is located on the banks of the Longdong Creek at Wulonggong, on a site known as New Life. It can rival the statue completed in 1998 in Macau, which is known as the world's tallest Mazu statue. Not only does it attract many tourists, but it also serves as a center of faith for local believers.

Transportation Methods:Take the Haixian train and get off at Houlong Station, then transfer to the Hsinchu, Miaoli, or Shalu bus heading towards Tongxiao. Get off at Xihu Station and walk about 5 minutes to reach the Xihu Township Office.
